Hourly billing · root access

Virtual servers for people who still like SSH.

Pick a size and get a root login. NVMe on every plan, a public IP you keep, and a bill that stops when you destroy the machine.

From $6 a month. No setup fee and no term contract.

Product

Everything that comes with the machine.

  1. 01

    Root on first boot

Ubuntu, Debian, AlmaLinux, and Rocky. Your SSH key is on the box at first boot.

  2. 02

    Hourly, with a ceiling

Compute is billed by the hour and never costs more than the monthly price of the plan.

  3. 03

    NVMe on every plan

Local disk, included from Spark up. Not a network volume you add later.

  4. 04

    An address you keep

IPv4 and IPv6 on every instance. Extra IPv4 addresses are $4 a month.

  5. 05

    Snapshots

Take one before a resize or a risky upgrade. Roll back without opening a ticket.

  6. 06

    A firewall you edit

Open the ports the workload needs. Everything else stays closed.

The whole product

A root shell, a public IP, and a bill that stops.

Create an instance, add your key, and connect. Resize it when the graph says so. Destroy it when the project ends.

  • Your SSH key, installed on first boot
  • Ubuntu, Debian, AlmaLinux, and Rocky
  • IPv4 and IPv6 on every plan
  • Destroying an instance ends compute charges

Pricing

Start smaller than you think.

Four published sizes. The three below cover most new deploys. Atlas is on the pricing page.

Relay

Room for a database beside the app.

$48/mo

$0.066 per hour

  • 4 vCPU
  • 8 GB memory

Prices in USD. Transfer beyond the plan is $0.01 per GB. Compare all four plans.

Uses

A plain server, pointed at a job.

01

Shipping a product

One box for the app, the database, and the worker. Resize when a launch post lands.

02

Client hosting

Keep projects on separate instances. Hand over an IP and still understand the invoice.

03

Multiplayer

A public IP, and a firewall you edit yourself.

04

Build fleets

Run CI machines for an afternoon and destroy them when the queue is empty.

Notes from teams

Short bills. Fewer surprises.

“We moved the API off a machine under a desk. The invoice finally matches the month we had.”
Mara, platform lead
“Hourly billing is why the preview environments exist. We turn them off on Friday.”
Jonas, engineering manager
“Four client sites fit on Current. I can explain the bill without a spreadsheet.”
Priya, freelance developer

Questions

Before you put a card on file.

Is there a contract?

No. Plans are hourly with a monthly ceiling. Destroy the instance and compute charges stop.

What if I power the server off?

A stopped instance keeps its disk and IP. Disk is billed at $0.10 per GB-month until you destroy the instance. Compute is not billed while it is off.

Can I resize later?

Yes. Moving up or down needs a short reboot. Take a snapshot first if the disk is being reshaped.

Which systems can I install?

Ubuntu, Debian, AlmaLinux, and Rocky. Bring your own SSH key. This catalog is Linux only.

Start with the smallest box that fits.

Upgrade when the graph says so. Destroy it when the project ends.
